The high cost of heating and cooling stimulates current efforts to reduce makeup air and increase recirculation of air in occupied spaces, in order to preserve air quality, contaminants generated indoors must be removed.
To assist HVAC engineers in design of gaseous contaminant removal systems, it was decided to develop a standardized test method for evaluation of gaseous contaminant removal devices.
