Air leakage in high-rise buildings can increase the transportation of air contaminants, odors and reduce overall energy efficiency. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers developed testing to measure air leakage, with the mandate of reducing overall leakage. This article explains the benefits of reducing leakage for occupants and building owners, along with how the Corps of Engineers is measuring and reducing leakage.
