Presents the story of Henry L. Galson a creative engineer. The history of air conditioning and the transition from central-station, special-purpose systems to mass-produced packaged systems has been written by others and was drawn upon for resource material. Galson’s personal papers and the recollections of the authors, his wife and Hans Steinfield (a colleague of his during the 1930s) were primary sources of historical material.
