Many office building tenants are demanding improvements in building performance prior to lease renewal, which is motivating property owners to invest in their assets. Also, some state or municipal codes are mandating more stringent requirements. This article provides an overview of the most effective technical strategies for improving HVAC energy performance in existing office buildings in New York City.
