Most cooling equipment uses a vapor compression
cycle, which relies on the physical phenomenon of
increasing the pressure of a vapor to raise the condensing
temperature at which it releases heat and, subsequently,
lowering the pressure of the vapor to decrease the temperature
at which it boils and absorbs heat.
