In residential duct cleaning, home owners frequently make purchasing decisions solely based on a price, without understanding what that price includes. Quality control or verification of the results varies by contractor. This article describes the cleaning of metal ducts in smaller buildings, which are located in heating climates in the northern U.S. and Canada. The needs of air-conditioning ducts in the southern U.S. are beyond the scope of this article.
