In order to solve the shortage of water resources, the recycling percentage of cooling water, which accounts for 70% to 80% of industrial water consumption, must be enhanced. This means that cooling towers should be used widely and the effect of cooling towers should be improved also. But the technique to improve the cooling effect of cooling towers hasn’t made great progress recently. A new, high-efficiency and feasible kind of wet cooling tower should be developed. In this research, a special mix-and-dissolve-air ejector (MDA ejector) devised from the common ejector is installed at the high-temperature inlet of a conventional wet cooling tower for “pretreatment.” By indrafting, mixing, and dissolving, much finer water droplets are formed, and then the contact area between the water and the air is also enhanced so the cooling efficiency is improved, which is verified by experiment results.
