Following its recent discovery, the "heat pipe" has received widespread recognition for its outstanding heat transfer capabilities. This device has proven to be a reliable and relatively isothermal means of transferring thermal energy.
The objective of the investigation reported in this paper was to demonstrate the possibility of constructing and operating a flexible heat pipe which would be capable of being re-shaped or bent after its assembly without disturbing the heat transfer characteristics of the device.
