This article uses a window retrofit casestudy to demonstrate the value of thermal comfort analyses to assist in theselection of technologies affecting the indoor environment. Dynamic buildingsimulations were used on a university campus building in the Vancouver area toanalyze the thermal comfort and mechanical-cooling energy avoided by use ofdynamic glazing in a sample group of offices.
