The Firstenburg Community Center in Vancouver, Wash., is the result of careful planning and engineering analysis. The design team led discussions, hands-on exercises, and established goals early in the design process to identify opportunities for integrated green design and objectives related to environmental responsibility. The building uses hybrid forms of ventilation and, as a result of the integrated design, the building has obtained LEED-NC Gold certification.
