Montreal’s Pierre-Boucher Hospital required an expansion including a new hospital wing, an operation block and laboratories. Designers created efficient HVAC systems that reduce energy consumption by roughly 30% for the new expansion area and 10% for the rehabilitated portion of the hospital. These energy savings translate into a yearly reduction of 1,152 tons of greenhouse gases and generate $210,000 annual savings on energy bills.
