This paper presents a comparison of the simulated and the measured performance of the evaporators of two different two-phase thermosiphon loop heat exchangers with constant heat flux boundary conditions imposed on the evaporator tubes. The experimental studies done by Bergevln et al. (1983) and by Pekrul and Weisgerber (1985) were simulated using the computer program developed by Mathur (1986). The working fluids used in the experimental studies were R-II3 and R-I1, respectively.
It was found that the computer program was capable of simulating the performance of the two experimental loops in a satisfactory manner.
