A set of correlations has been established among annual heating and cooling coil energy calculated by the DOE-2.1B building energy analysis computer program and simple groupings of cfimate, internal load, and building envelope parameters. These correlations have been found to be applicable for commercial buildings Iocated in distinctly different U.S. climates. They represent significant progress in understanding the impact of various building design decisions on heating and cooling energy use in commercial buildings.
