Losses across diverging and converging flow junctions can be modeled as a linear combination of kinetic powers, allowing the prediction of total pressure changes across junctions. The efficacy of the model is demonstrated from experimental data on a wide variety of con. verging flow junctions. An equivalent model should also apply to diverging flow junctions.
