State the LEO was refurbished during summer 1988 to allow an independent assessment of the concepts associated with electrical heating in highly insulated, naturally ventilated buildings. Information from the 1988/89 heating season will be used to develop guidance on factors associated with electric heating, such as the optimum control strategy, emitter-sizing criteria and occupant factors. Presents the results obtained so far.
