Pressure drop data were taken for air blown in cross flow over banks of spined pipe. Two pipe diameters were tested, each at different equilateral spacings. To extend the data to gases other than air, the Fanning friction factor is presented as a function of the Reynolds number.

KEYWORDS: pressure drop, heat flow, pipes, cross flow heat exchangers, testing, Reynolds numbers, thermal resistance, extended surfaces heat exchangers, heat exchangers.
