Describes a computer simulation model to predict the performance of ice- generation and storage system using a direct-contact evaporator, and compares the results with a conventional ice-on-tube storage system. Presents the effects of ice thickness and outside wet-bulb temperature on the kW/ton of the refrigerant system.
