Experiments have been carried out in a climate chamber to study the plume rise in a stably stratified environment. The experimental results are compared with published results concerning the maximum plume height, upper and lower deflection heights, and the initial spreading angle. The plume rise formulas are verified with experimental results, and a better constant in the plume rise formula is recommended. The experimental results can be used to calculate plume rise in industrial working places, offices, and other public buildings.
