Describes the experimental results of heat transfer on a low finned tube when boiling lithium bromide/water solutions under a vacuum. The range of concentration was from 0 to 55 wt.%, with a pressure range of 65 to 760mm Hg. The results show that the low finned tube is an effective enhancing surface. On the low finned tube, the boiling heat transfer coefficient varied inversely with the concentration and channel width and directly with the height of the fin and pressure. A correlation for the boiling heat transfer was obtained by synthesizing a vast amount of data with the aid of a pluralistic linear regression method.
