Describes non-fire and fire tests conducted in a 10-storey experimental fire tower to evaluate the performance of the mechanical smoke exhaust system, zoned smoke control and pressurised building method of smoke control. All three systems have mechanical exhaust of the fire door in common. Stair doors were operated during the tests. Supplies the results of the tests. Compares and evaluates them for their effectiveness in controlling smoke movement.
