Describes the development of a numerical toolkit to perform energy calculations for secondary HVAC components and systems. States the toolkit is a collection of subroutines and corresponding documentation that describes algorithms for predicting the performance of HVAC components. States calculation tools have been selected from the literature and include computational algorithms for secondary HVAC system equipment, selected properties of working fluids and utility components and controls for modelling a complete system. The toolkit documentation includes thorough descriptions of the component models and solution algorithms, detailed information on the structure of the individual FORTRAN routines and illustrative examples of system simulations with the toolkit routines.
