Reports that indoor air speeds in three air conditioned compartments were studied experimentally. The sites included an environmental chamber, a small control room and a large badminton court at a university. Thermal comfort was evaluated using the air diffusion performance index and the percentage dissatisfied (PD). Supplies and discusses the results. States they show that the air diffusion performance would not be improved by changing only the supply flow rates. Proposes that the airflow pattern be determined as well.
