This standard defines methods for energy surveys, provides guidance for operation and maintenance, and describes building and equipment modification provisions that must be met for a building or building complex to comply with this standard. This standard applies to existing buildings, portions of buildings, and complexes including the envelope and systems for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning, service water heating, energy distribution, and lighting.
