TEX-PAC is a totally menu-driven software program for performing statistical calculations related to textile testing programs. The calculations include: binomial and Poisson precision; sampling plan development; number of specimens; test variability; and transformations of frequency distributions. TEX-PAC requires no instruction manual, but must be used in conjunction with the applicable ASTM standards for which it serves as an adjunct. Any permanent data files required are created within each program and stored on a floppy disk for future reference. The Tex-Pac includes: 3.5 inch diskette, instructions, and nine ASTM standards for which TEX-PAC serves as an adjunct, including:
D 2904 Standard Practice for Interlaboratory Testing of a Textile Test Method that Produces Normally Distributed Data,
D 2905 Standard Practice for Statements on Number of Specimens for Textiles
D 2906 Standard Practice for Statements on Precision and Bias for Textiles
D 3777 Standard Practice for Writing Specifications for Textiles
D 4855 Standard Practice for Comparing Test Methods
D 4686, Standard Guide for Identification and Transformation of Frequency Distributions
D 4697 Standard Guide for Maintaining Test Methods in the User?s Laboratory
D 4853 Standard Guide for Reducing Test Variability and
D 4854 Standard Guide for Estimating the Magnitude of Variability from Expected Sources in Sampling Plans
