Over the past several years, Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) has been developing and testing enhanced condensation head-transfer surfaces for use with various refrigerants. From a wide range of single-tube parametric studies, selected data are presented to illustrate effects heat transfer performance. An application of this laboratory information to a field heat exchanger design is described.
