State that the most recent version of DOE-2.1, the US Department of Energy’s major computer program for building energy analysis, includes new capabilities that make it possible to analyse a variety of direct, indirect and multiple stage evaporative cooling systems. The addition of user-defined functions to the SYSTEMS portion of the program allows direct modification, enhancement or replacement of DOE-2.1 calculations without requiring manipulation of the program’s source code. Makes use of a procedure, using the SUBR-FUNCTIONS command, to model three simple evaporative cooling systems.
