Preservative systems that provide the requiredprotection for the intended use and suitably clean surfacesmay be used in accordance with this Standard.Wood for playground equipment shall be treated inaccordance with the requirements of AWPA Standards C1,All Timber Products’ Preservative Treatment by PressureProcesses, C2, Lumber, Timbers, Bridge Ties and MineTies’ Preservative Treatment by Pressure Processes, C4,Poles-Preservative Treatment by Pressure Processes, andC5, Fence Posts-Preservative Treatment by PressureProcesses, except as supplemented herein.
Note: This Standard is expressed in metric units with English units shown in parentheses.
