During my 20 years as an engineer, I have been an employee of several HVAC&R engineering firms. At these firms, employee training is considered important, but often overlooked. The most common form of training is on-the-job where experienced employees educate newer employees on specific methods used by the firm. This type of training does not typically include any theoretical content, focusing only on what is needed for that project.
