This paper describes all the fire safety features that were incorporated in the building of the Peachtree Plaza Hotel in Atlanta. The planning for the fire safety which preceded the construction of the building was done in parallel changes to the city’s revision of its fire code in respect to high-rise buildings. The hotel is compared to another similar one that was constructed in Detroit around the same time.
