Results of simulations and analyses are presented, which indicate that the temperature variations of an enclosure heated by a proportionally flux-modulated radiant slab are acceptable for any reasonably designed enclosure, i.e., performance is insensitive to design. In contrast, additional simulations are presented showing that the present recommended practice of modulating temperature is highly sensitive to design variations.
