Evaluates selected aspects of window thermal performance modelling via a detailed study of edge-seal thermal performance. Insights into window modelling are sought and discussed with respect to the importance of thermal contact surfaces, the thermal resistance short-circuit nature of high thermal conductivity materials, the sensitivity of model predictions to thermal conductivity uncertainty, structural simplification, independent modelling, gridding, and the role of 2-D effects.
