Describes an experimental and theoretical investigation of floor heating with thermal storage. The study, composed of both full-scale experiments in an outdoor test room and computer simulations, had the objectives of 1) investigation of the performance of an electric floor radiant heating system with thermal storage, and 2) development of control strategies for reduced operational costs of radiant heating systems using thermal storage. Supplies and analyses the results and supplies significant observations and conclusions.
