1.2 This Standard does not apply to (a) appliances such as dishwashers, clothes washers, etc; or (b) floor drains and trench drains covered by CSA Standard B79.

1.3 This Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the appro priate Standard(s) in the B45 Series in order to form a complete Standard.

1.4 When components of a fixture are made of different materials, the applicable requirements of the appropriate Standard in the B45 Series are provided for each component, addressing quality, strength, effectiveness, durability, repairability, replaceability, and safety.

1.5 The values given in SI (metric) units are the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

B45.1-1.1 This Standard applies to plumbing fixtures made primarily of vitreous and nonvitreous ceramic material. The Standard provides physical requirements and test methods pertaining to material, grading, dimensions, and certain features of construction. Also given are definitions, inspection methods, and tests, which establish the generally acceptable quality of products.

1.2 This Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the applicable requirements and reference publications of CSA Standard B45.0.

1.3 The values given in SI (metric) units are the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

B45.2-1.1 This Standard applies to plumbing fixtures made primarily of porcelain-enamelled cast-iron.

1.2 This Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the applicable requirements, definitions, and reference publications of CSA Standard B45.0.

1.3 The values given in SI (metric) units are the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

B45.3-1.1 This Standard applies to plumbing fixtures made primarily of porcelain-enamelled steel.

1.2 This Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the applicable requirements and reference publications of CSA Standard B45.0.

1.3 The values given in SI (metric) units are the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

B45.4-1.1 This Standard applies to plumbing fixtures made primarily of stainless steel.

1.2 This Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the applicable requirements and reference publications of CSA Standar d B45.0, except that the acid-resistance tests of Clause 15.9 do not apply to stainless steel fixtures.

1.3 The values given in SI (metric) units are the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

B45.5-1.1 This Standard applies to plumbing fixtures made primarily of plastic.

1.2 This Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the applicable requirements and reference publications of CSA Standard B45.0, except that the acid-resistance tests of Clause 15.9 do not apply to plastic fixtures.

1.3 The values given in SI (metric) units are the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

B45.6-1.1 This Standard provides requirements for non-recirculating toilets and waste-holding tanks and tests for materials, components, proper design and operation, and other significant properties of construction and finish, as well as provision for proper installation of the finished product. Marking requirements are also included.

1.2 Non-recirculating toilets included in this Standard are those units that are connected to a water system and that drain to a waste-holding tank. They are intended for use in recreational vehicles and are installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation instructions.

1.3 This Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the applicable requirements, definitions, and reference publications of CSA Standard B45.0.

1.4 The values given in SI (metric) units are the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

B45.7-1.1 This Standard provides requirements for self-contained, recirculating, chemically controlled toilets and tests for materi als, components, proper design and operation, and other significant properties of construction, finish, and provision for proper installation of the finished product. Marking requirements are also included.

1.2 Toilets included in this Standard are intended to be used where travel conditions, space restrictions, and water conservation constitute a reason for deviating from the use of more conventional wate r closets.

1.3 Toilets included in this Standard are those that are equipped with a motor-driven or manually-driven pump that forces a flushing fluid containing a required chemical from a self- contained tank into the bowl, to flush deposited contaminants from the bowl back into the self-contained tank.

1.4 This Standard does not apply to portable, self-contained, recirculating, chemically controlled toilets.

1.5 This Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the applicable requirements, definitions, and reference publications of CSA Standard B45.0.

B45.8-1.1 This Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the applicable requirements, definitions, and reference publications of CSA Standard B45.0.

1.2 This Standard provides requirements for materials and physical requirem ents of terrazzo plumbing fixtures. Testing requirements are also included in this Standard.

1.3 The values given in SI (metric) units are the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

B45.9-1.1 This Standard applies to macerating/pumping systems that collect waste from a single water closet, lavatories, and/or bathtubs located in the same room, and that grind these macerated wastes and pump them to some point in the sanitary drainage system. Note: A macerating system may comprise three major components: the container that houses the operating mechanisms, the pressure chamber that automatically activates and deactivates, and an induction motor that drives the shredder blades and pump assembly.

1.2 This Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the applicable requirements, definitions, and reference publications of CSA Standard B45.0.

1.3 The purpose of this Standard is to establish a generally acceptable performance standard for macerating systems and related components for directly affixed water closets and other fixtures designed for above-the-floor installations. Notes: (1) Directly affixed systems consist of a macerating tank and integral grinder/pump mechanism and a water closet and related components. Integral systems consist of a single water closet with a built-in grinder/pump mechanism.
