This paper aims to describe a digital computer program which was developed to assist designengineers in meeting cost and performance objectives. Based on the best available fundamental heat-transfer and fluid flow relationships, the program provides the designer with a powerful but, at the same time, convenient and flexible tool for evaluating alternate coil designs.
