This paper deals with studying augmentation techniques applied to heat exchangers where condensation occurs on the heat transfer surfaces. The specific application is for air conditioners and dehumidifiers. In these units the greatest resistance to heat transfer usually occurs on the air side flow. Therefore, if this air side thermal resistance can be reduced, the heat transfer performance of these devices can be correspondingly increased.
