ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1 has required setpoint reset for systems with DDC for many years. Trim & Respond (T&R) logic has been found to be the most effective approach (so far) to demand-based reset, and was included in ASHRAE research project 1455-RP and proposed ASHRAE Guideline 36P. This column includes the detailed 1455-RP T&R logic and an example of T&R implementation.
