In this study, through a harmonic method, we derive the analytical solution of the dynamic cooling load for a radiant slab system and air system in a largespace building with high-intensity solar radiation. The results indicate that peak value of the cooling load of a radiant system in a 24h operation isslightly larger than the air system because the conventional slab floor has a larger decay rate and time lag for the direct solar radiation than the radiantslab. However, the cooling load difference between the two systems is less than 10 W/m² (3.17 Btu/ft²h).
