The title of this paper may seem a paradox. But keep in mind that the suitability of evaporativecooling for a particular application is determined in the first instance by summer climatic conditions. The process is essentially adiabatic following a constant wet bulb line. Air temperature is lowered byraising the relative humidity with no change in heat content except for the addition of the heat ofthe water evaporated in the process.
