This paper details a study to evaluate the conditions of new Data Center spaces, and proposals to change to the IT layout in order to reduce energy consumption, increase the usable capacity, and maintain/improve the availability/redundancy. This study uses the Performance Indicator (developed by The Green Grid) metric to allow the business to understand the impact of changes in order to determine the configuration that delivers the best balance of Availability, Capacity, and Efficiency.
