A provision of the Homeland Security Act addresses the federal government’s protections for those voluntarily submitting information related to the security of critical infrastructure or protected systems. This is information that is submitted to federal agencies, and usually is not in the public domain. The provision bears watching while it is implemented by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and interpreted by the courts.
