Variable-air-volume (VAV) laboratories are equipped with the some of the most advanced, complex systems in the HVAC industry. Commissioning a VAV laboratory addresses a number of potential design, construction, and final user problems that this paper attempts to identify. To simplify the process, this discussion will be limited only to flow tracking systems, not pressure or velocity tracking systems.
KEYWORDS: commissioning, variable volume air conditioning, laboratories, exhaust hoods, testing.
