Comfort research has provided a number of alternatives for energy conservation, although a variety of impediments hinder their adoption. Many users, as well as designers, are unaware of many of the opportunities available for conservation, and both share reservations in using them in new building design. Reasons for these reservations as well as methods for adopting comfort-related technologies are presented.
