Testing, Adjusting and Balancing (TAB) is just one stage in the design through operation cycle of a building with operation being the longest. Depending upon the size, purpose and function of the building the operator may range from one person to a staff with separate engineering, operating and maintenance departments; however, the objectives and requirements of the operator are still the same. He must provide services when required at reasonable cost, and have a thorough knowledge of all the building systems and their interrelationship.
The following Dos and Don’ts are offered as suggestions to help you, the operator, achieve satisfactory building acceptance.
