Presents a detailed overview of the research activities concerning absorption/compression cycle technology during the last 15 years. Reviews more than 40 papers. Explains in greater detail several different cycle configurations. Evaluates the choice of cycle components such as the design of heat exchangers and compressors and the choice of working fluids. Concludes there is still considerable work to be done before absorption/compression technology can be considered a viable alternative solution to vapour compression technology.
