This article lays the framework for an emerging approach to establish and execute tangible energy performance goals. It introduces some base knowledge for when design teams see this requirement in a request for proposal (RFP) for the first time. This article delves into two construction projects that blended a traditional design-build procurement process with a more open, collaborative approach.
