The proliferation of cell phones, wireless computer networking, andwireless personal digital assistants has been phenomenal in the lastfew years. However, the building controls industry has not yet seenmany wireless devices deployed in the field. Experts agree that thedriver for deployment of wireless sensors will be cost advantages andthe flexibility to relocate thermostats and sensors as the interior buildinglayout adapts to the changing needs of the tenants and occupants.
