Detailed studies have been made of various techniques for the control of airborne microorganisms.

The purpose of this test program was to determine the effects of desiccant action on airborne microorganisms. The technique used was to sample an air stream before and after it had passed through a desiccant bed and then to grow the microorganisms trapped in the sampling device and count the resulting colonies.
