In the expanding field of air conditioning more and more effort is being given to the
careful calculation of heating and cooling loads of planned structures. One of the most
fundamental factors to be considered is the range of atmospheric temperatures at the exact
location where the new structure will be placed and used.
The purpose of this research project has been to develop techniques whereby the once-perday
data from the many thousands of supplemental cooperative stations can be utilized to
determine design dry bulb temperatures.
