The objective for this project … is “to obtain reliable scientific data through laboratory and field testing to determine the efficacy of antimicrobial agents on fibrous air filters and the potential ability of these treatments to inhibit filter media surface growth and subsequently reduce indoor air microbiological particulate contamination”.
This project is divided into four parts: a literature search, a lab study, a field study, and a comparison of the lab and field results, grouped into Phase I and II.
The Phase I report presented the results of the literature review and the test plan for the subsequent laboratory and field tasks. The Phase II report describes the test methods and protocols used for the laboratory study and the field study, and their results.
This document includes both the Phase I (p. 1-46) and Phase II (47-101) reports.
