Laboratory facilities are expensive to build, operate andmaintain, and consume energy at high rates. A new lab at Pacific NorthwestNational Laboratory in Washington addressed these issues in the design andconstruction of a 14,700ft2 (1366 m2) wet chemistry research facility.It saves 19% above the ASHRAE/IESStandard 90.1-2010 baseline.
